Refund Policy

Fair, transparent & in writing.

Our goal is a result you're happy with. Here is exactly what's covered, when refunds apply and how to request one.

Unlimited revisions

Amendments within the agreed scope are included until you're satisfied — no cap.

📋 Written scope first

Every project has a written brief agreed before work begins. Refunds are assessed against it.

7-day processing

Approved refunds reach your original payment method within 7 business days.

💬 14-day window

Raise any issue within 14 days of delivery. We resolve most concerns within 48 hours.

1. Our commitment

FixMyTask is committed to delivering work that matches the agreed scope, quality and timeline. If we fall short in a way that cannot be resolved through revision, we will issue a fair refund. This policy sets out exactly how that works.

2. Revisions and amendments

All projects include revisions to bring the work in line with the original written brief. You may request revisions within 14 days of receiving a deliverable. A revision is defined as an amendment that falls within the agreed scope — not a new requirement, a change of direction, or additional volume added after the brief was finalised.

We do not limit the number of reasonable revision rounds within that 14-day window. If you need work outside the original scope, we will quote any additional effort separately before proceeding.

3. When a refund applies

You are entitled to a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

  • Non-delivery: We fail to deliver the agreed work within the timeline specified in writing, and no agreed extension has been communicated in advance.
  • Material deviation from scope: The final deliverable substantially fails to match the written brief and the shortfall cannot be resolved through revision.
  • Duplicate payment: A payment error results in you being charged more than once for the same project.

4. When a refund does not apply

Refunds are not available in the following circumstances:

  • You have received the work and approved it — even informally (e.g. via WhatsApp message).
  • The project is complete and within scope, but you have changed your mind about the brief after work began.
  • You have not responded to our messages or progress check-ins for more than 14 days during an active project.
  • A revision was requested but you have not provided the specific feedback needed for us to proceed.
  • The concern relates to outcomes outside our control, including but not limited to: examination grades, journal acceptance or rejection decisions, ad spend performance beyond an agreed setup and optimisation period, or institutional academic-integrity decisions.
  • The original brief was incomplete or significantly changed by the client after work began, and the final output reflects those client-led changes.

5. Partial refunds

Where work has been partially completed at the time a valid refund claim is raised, we may offer a partial refund proportional to the undelivered portion, at our discretion. We will communicate clearly and in writing before issuing any partial refund.

6. Academic integrity note

Our academic services are provided as guidance, consulting, editing and coaching on work that you own and submit. We do not write work for submission as the client's own original work. Refund disputes arising from a misunderstanding of service scope will be assessed against the written brief agreed before work started. We do not accept responsibility for how our consulting, editing or guidance is used by the client.

7. How to request a refund

To open a refund request, contact us within 14 days of delivery via any of the following:

Please include: your project reference or description, the nature of the issue, and any supporting evidence. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 7 business days.

8. Refund processing timeline

Once a refund is approved, it is returned to your original payment method. Processing typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your bank or payment provider. We will confirm the amount and date in writing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at fixmytask.net/refund-policy. The policy in effect at the time your project brief was agreed applies to that project.
