Is using FixMyTask allowed by my university?
Using an academic consultant or editor is the same category of support as a university writing centre, a private tutor or a statistics workshop — it is widely accepted when you remain the author of your own work. FixMyTask provides guidance, feedback and editing on work you write and own. We never write academic work for you to submit as your own.
That said, policies vary. If you are unsure whether a specific type of support is permitted under your institution's academic-integrity rules, we recommend checking directly with your institution before engaging. We are always happy to discuss the nature of our support in plain terms.
Do you work on all research disciplines?
Yes — our Academic Support service covers all disciplines: humanities, social sciences, education, business and management, health sciences, STEM and interdisciplinary fields. We work on Master's, PhD and DBA-level research, and we are equally comfortable with qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods studies.
Service 06 (AI, Security & Advanced Computing) is a specialist service for researchers and engineers needing deep Python, machine learning, deep learning or quantum computing support. The two services are complementary — most technical research projects draw on both.
How do you protect my confidentiality?
All client information is treated as confidential by default. We do not discuss, share or reference your project with anyone outside the FixMyTask team. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before work begins — just ask when you first contact us and we will send one over.
How do you give me a fixed quote?
Once you describe your project, we assess the scope — what needs to be done, the complexity, any specific requirements and your deadline. We send you a written proposal specifying exactly what we will deliver and for what fixed cost. If scope changes after the brief is agreed, any additional work is quoted separately before we proceed. There are no surprise extras.
I'm in a different country and time zone — does that work?
Yes. We work across ten countries on three continents and are experienced at time-zone-aware communication. We commit to 24-hour first responses and schedule calls (where needed) to suit your timezone. Most project communication happens asynchronously over WhatsApp — which works well across any timezone.
Can I combine multiple services?
Absolutely. Many of our clients use several service lines together — for example, a PhD student who needs statistical analysis support, thesis editing and a Google Scholar profile setup, or a founder who needs a website, SEO content and GA4 conversion tracking. Everything is handled by the same team, coordinated from one brief.
