What we do — and what we do not do
FixMyTask provides academic support services that are analogous to what a private tutor, research supervisor, writing centre or statistical consultant provides: expert guidance, feedback and technical assistance on work that you produce and own.
We do:
- Advise on research design, methodology and data analysis approaches
- Explain statistical concepts and help you understand and interpret your results
- Review and give feedback on your drafts — commenting on structure, argument and clarity
- Proofread and edit your writing for grammar, style and language
- Format documents and reference lists to the required citation style
- Support publication preparation — journal selection, manuscript formatting, cover letters
- Coach on research writing skills, academic conventions and discipline-specific norms
We do not:
- Write original academic content for submission as your own work
- Complete your assignments, essays, theses or dissertations for you
- Misrepresent the nature of the support we have provided
- Encourage or assist any practice that violates your institution's academic-integrity policy
Why this matters
Academic integrity is the foundation of the research enterprise. When research and scholarship are conducted honestly, with proper attribution and genuine intellectual contribution, knowledge advances. Misrepresenting how work was produced — whether through plagiarism, contract cheating or undisclosed use of AI — undermines this foundation and ultimately devalues your own degree or qualification.
Beyond the ethical dimension, the practical risk is real: institutions are increasingly sophisticated at identifying contract-cheated work, and the consequences of an academic-misconduct finding are severe and long-lasting.
Our support is compatible with academic integrity
Using a consultant to improve the quality of your research and writing — with your ideas, your data and your authorship intact — is fundamentally the same as using your university's writing centre, attending a statistics workshop, or working with a supervisor who gives detailed feedback on your chapter drafts. It is normal, legitimate academic practice.
The distinction that matters is authorship: who is doing the intellectual work? If you are generating the ideas, collecting the data, interpreting the results and writing the content — and we are helping you improve its quality, clarity and rigour — your authorship is genuine.
Cybersecurity services
Our AI, Security & Advanced Computing service line covers cybersecurity in defensive, educational and research-oriented contexts only. This includes vulnerability analysis for learning purposes, CTF (Capture the Flag) methodology, secure architecture review and cybersecurity research writing. We do not provide offensive tools, exploitation services, or any assistance that could be used for unauthorised access to systems, networks or data. All cybersecurity work is scoped in writing before it begins.

Academic-integrity policies vary considerably between institutions and disciplines.
